Reviews For Taste Of Home Magazine

Recipes!

I love this magazine! I first discovered it years ago, quite by accident, and have been a devoted reader ever since! The recipes are wonderful, and use ingredients that can be found in the local grocery store,no need to hunt down any specialty ingredients here.

There are tear out recipe cards in the center of the magazine for the featured recipes that month. Makes it easy to file away your new favorites.

They have monthly contests which range from finding a hidden object, to recipe contests. There are no ads, but plenty of good recipes and articles.

The only thing I don't like about this magazine is that it is bi-monthly, but they have since brought out a sister cooking magazine for the in-between months, called Quick Cooking.

I would definately recommend this magazine to anyone looking for some new , good recipes to add to their collection.

Taste is GREAT!

I love to cook so when I got this magazine I was THRILLED with it. It has TONS of recipes in each issue as well as lots of cute stories and ideas. This magazine is based in reality unlike some others like good housekeeping, Cosmo, etc...(grapefruit diet?? Give me a break!) My favorite part of this magazine are the 8-10 pages of recipe cards in each issue that are the perfect size to cut out and put in your recipe box. The only con about this magazine is that it only comes out 6 times a year instead of 12. If you like Taste of Home then you will probably like the other magazines this company puts out. They are called Country Birds and Blooms, and Country Woman. I highly recommend any of these magazines. Enjoy!

I Love A Winner!

What is not to like about this magazine! Delicious, easy to prepare dishes. Great variety and selection. Personable articles. And that tooth pick idea is so cute...

I enjoy this magazine so much, I don't even loan out an issue! I don't dare. I'd never get it back!

I am saving every issue. Great references.

After I have examined, enjoyed and read an issue from cover to cover I have to return to find even more. How I overlooked a new recipe or interesting and enjoyable article I simply don't know.

I Do know this, I love this magazine, and any woman that likes or loves to cook will truly appreciate and enjoy it. I love a winner!

Taste of Good Old Cooking

I subscribed to Taste of Home 5 years ago after reviewing a book at a friends home. It has many recipes for good old "homecooking" that have been enjoyed by our friends and family. Ingredients are usually staples in a kitchen. I seem to always be able to easily locate recipes that include the main ingredient I have on hand. The book is put together for easy reference and the recipes are well written and easily understandable. Over the years I have served many of the recipes offered to both family and friends. I enjoy the fact that they also provide recipes for both large and small meals. All the recipes are able to be made in a reasonable time, which is excellent for people with todays busy lifestyles. This a great way for new cooks and experienced cooks alike to enjoy some simple yet elegant recipes that are both wholesome, attractive and healthy.

AWESOME Magazine

This is a great magazine! The recipes are easy and made of ingredients you probably already have. I have NEVER made a recipe from this publication that my family did not LOVE! Most of our all-time family favorites have come from Taste of Home.

Besides the great recipes, this magazine also offers theme dinner ideas and helpful hints for the kitchen which I have found to be very useful.

I also love the fact that this is ALL magazine with no ads. The pictures are also great. This is my FAVORITE magazine. I would not be without it!

I can't wait for each new issue and my mother-in-law and sister also subscribe. Once someone sees it, they have to have it!

Yummy!!

Taste of Home is one of the finest cooking magazines I have ever subscribed to. It is filled with every imaginable recipe--main dishes to beverages. They have recipes that can be cooked for a few or a crew! My favorite section is Mom's favorite meal/recipes...not to be missed. Holiday recipes--a must!! They provide you with how to plan any meal starting with the beverage through the dessert time! Directions are easy to follow and understandable! Pictures are wonderful to show the elegantly prepared food. Easy to follow recipes and for the most part ingredients you would have on hand around the kitchen. The fun kids section shows that kids too can cook! Theme related parties are also depicted--baby showers, birthday celebrations, etc. The request for recipes lost by readers is also included...people searching for a long ago recipe from wonderful grandmas or best friends! There is even a section for our wonderful male cooks. They have managed to capture everyone in this not to be missed magazine. I look forward to getting my magazine each month! Only drawback...I can never find the hidden toothpick! (to win a prize!) Subscribe...you will pick it up and use it often. Better yet people will ask you for your recipes! :)

Best Everyday cook Magazine

I have had Taste of Home Magazine for 3 years. I find it easy to follow for recipes. The ingredients are most usually already in your cabinets or easy to find in the Grocery Store. Picture show exactly what the end results should be. There is a variety of recipes from Herbs to Desserts in different issues. Each issue has easy to find index pages. Each page has something of good taste for everyone. There are recipes cards that can be removed and saved.
This is one magazine that I recommend for everyone who wants to learn how to cook different meals. It is for those who already know how to cook but want new recipes. Even for recipes that you just want to change the taste.
The price of this subscription if fair and well worth it.

Excellent Magazine!

Once I read through the first issue of Taste of Home, I just had to subscribe. I didn't want to miss a single issue.

The magazine is very well laid out and I love seeing the pictures and stories of the cooks that bring you their favorite recipes. The pictures of the prepared items are also very helpful and just gets my mouth watering to try something new on my husband.

One of my favorite sections of the Taste of Home magazine is "Our Family's Favorite Grace". People write in from all over and tell their favorite mealtime grace. My favorites are usually from the mouths of children.

Taste of Home has become one of my favorite cooking magazines and a feature that is very helpful is the inside of the back page. It tells you each recipe in the book, which category (such as breads, desserts, etc.) and the page number - and as an added bonus, they checkmark the recipes that include Nutritional Analysis and Diabetic Exchanges.

I also subscribe to Taste of Homes Quick Cooking magazine and that one is every bit as good!

Practical Recipes

One of my most favorite things about Taste of home is the fact that they give practical recipes that don't call for "exotic" ingredients like so many other magazines and recipe books. The recipes are also easy to understand and cheap to make.

I don't think i've ever tried a recipe that I was not pleased with and the price of the magazine although a little on the steep side is worth it because it is like your purchasing a mini cookbook each time you purchase this magazine.

Every time I get one of these magazines I mark just about everything in it as a "want to try" recipe.

Not only does this magazine have great recipes it also has tips & hints, great articles, and even tells you how to minimize or maximize recipes, I read this from front to back.

It reminds me of a good old southern recipe cookbook and I would highly recommend this if your a beginning cook or can cook just as well as Martha Stewart. :)

Yum, yum...no low cal here!

I don't subscribe to this magazine just because I haven't gotten around to it. I buy it very frequently at the news stand though. The only problem is that I like the recipes a little too well, & I need to watch those calories. I don't think their are any recipes in this magazine that are full of cream, butter, some kind of drippings. They are good down home cooking recipes. They are all easy to follow & very realistic. I would just stay away from them if you are following some kind of diet.

One of the best features of this magazine is...no advertising. It is unbelievable that the whole magazine is truly about the love of cooking. They always have a section of pull out recipes, & the people who submit the recipes are real people. If you enjoy collecting recipes this is a good magazine to get.
