Throughout the years, Dog Fancy has modified it's information to help all people not just the show folk. They have added wonderful articles on training, grooming as well as a well rounded new product/gift idea section. They also have added a section for websites.

I find myself referring back to old issues for different events that come up in my dogs lives. They write articles concerning not only the pure breed, but also the shelter dogs.

One article that was great to see was about Senior dogs. This article helped people to recognize warning signs as well as typical "old dog" personalities. I found this article completely informative since having dogs that are all approaching the senior stage in life, I was able to see that what they were doing was normal and not a cause for alarm.

The magazine also has upcoming show events for the month that is very helpful with address/locations and events.

I have found that this is the best magazine for all dog owners!
This magazine gives a wide area of interest, and I'm sure, that it has peaked interest in several events too. They are on top of the most current "dog issues" whether it be a new toy or new event that all dogs can enter.

And what a way to go! DogFancy is one of the longest running magazines for the dog lover. Informative, fun and feature filled it's well worth the subscription cost! One of the few magazines that I read cover to cover.

I've kept years of DogFancy magazines. Even though a particular article may not have relevance for me now, who knows what the future will bring? Each article is packed with useful information. I have recently subscribed to Dog Fancy. As for what I have read of it I love it. It helps me with the purchase of different things for my dogs. Since I have 3 dogs and I love them very much I make sure I do the most and the best things that matter for them. I want them to stay healthy and by this magazine I have been able to. It helps me with there diet that they are on and lets me choice many different things for them. I am glad that there is a magazine that is dicated to my dogs though. I thought that since many people have magazines that dogs should to. I know they cant read but we are supposed to take care of out pets though. If you love them then you will do the best you can for them.

I fell in love with Dog Fancy magazine the first time a friend gave me a copy that featured one of my dogs. It took me awhile to actually take the step to a subscription since I am one of those people who do not subscribe. My past experiences have either been negative or my opinion of the magazine or the magazine itself changed.

Initially, I doted on the breed section of Dog Fancy, learning more about breed standards and behavior and debating which breed was going to be my next choice. Eventually, I subscribed and found out that beside the breed profiles, the articles were excellent. Health articles topped the list; current problems with standard inoculations; bloat (I had never been familiar with this particular problem,senior dogs and their special problems, etc. I begin to have a knowledge of the health problems that plagued different breeds. It added to my overall knowledge in making future decisions regarding new pets.

This magazine did not ignore training procedures, emotional problems, dietary information, always tickling you with an article on dog sensory perception, heroic stories of amazing dogs, giving you calendars for shows, obedience and agility schedules. It would make a great gift for any animal lover, especially, dog people.

I find Dog Fancy heads above the other magazines; it's format is slicker and more professionally laid out. Truthfully, I cannot recommend another dog magazine because Dog Fancy satisfies all my "doggie needs" in the most entertaining manner. Give it a try. It's been around a long time...and I expect it will be the leader of the dog mags for sometime to come.

This magazine is well worth your time and money, in my opinion. I subscribe to several dog magazines and by far, this one is the best.

There pictures are terrific and clear. The articles are precise and informative. If you are just thinking about getting a dog, they give details on how to pick a breeder and what to look for with that breeder and the puppy's genes. It will also tell you what to look for in the puppy itself. It will tell you what is a good sign and what is not a good sign for a show dog. This is good because if you are spending hundreds of dollars to get a show dog and you miss something, because you didn't know to look for it, then you have not only wasted hundreds of hard-earned dollars, you now have a puppy that can only be a pet (which is wonderful in and of itself, but not if you were specifically wanting a show quality dog!).

The other good thing about this magazine is that it gives detailed information about one breed each month, but it also has other information about other dogs, too. But, the breed the choose to detail--- their detail is incredible!

There are good advertisements in the back sections also. If you are looking for breeders, pet supplies, pet insurance, etc... you should be able to find it in the advertisements, somewhere.

I would recommend this magazine to anyone who has a love for dogs!

I love dogs and I really wish that I could own one, but since my living arrangements won't allow for this, I enjoy reading dog magazines instead. Of all the dog magazines available, this is by far my favorite and from what I can see, many dog lovers would agree. This magazine is widely read and very popular because it is well written by very knowledgeable writers.

Dog Fancy runs some very informative articles about dogs? care, health, training and grooming. Regardless of the article, each story is still quite fun and light-hearted. Nevertheless, I especially like the monthly feature which always profiles a different dog.

I truly believe that Dog Fancy makes for some very enjoyable reading and thus, in my opinion, this magazine's bark is as good as its bite.

This magazine is really worth the money. I searched through it for months before I finally decided to adopt my black lab. They give you the good and the bad of dogs and new tips and tricks. I really enjoyed it. We couldn't wait to get the new issue in the mail every month. Also, it had new foods out for dogs and what to look for in every stage of puppies. Very good articles, my husband and I both agree. Our local vet showed this magazine to us. We thank him. Please remember support your local shelter. Try this if you can't decide what type of dog is good for you and your family. We did and our dog is great.

Dog fancy is one of the best dog magazines around. I subscribe to many pet magazines. Dog fancy keeps you up to date on the latest happening with diseases and treatments of dogs. They give you a profile of different dogs each month. It shows you where all the shows will be. You want to buy a dog? That is the magazine to go to. They have most breeds for sale in the back. Many products to be had also. I myself like to check out the web sites that they provide. Dog fancy is also online. I highly recommend this magazine.

I have been getting this magazine since 1986, and enjoy every issue. It is always packed full of useful information on dogs. It not only covers the purebred dogs, but mixed breeds as well. Each month there is at least one featured breed of dog and a poster to accompany it. It also includes advertisement for "doggy" things, breeders ads and AKC show schedules.
