Reviews For Birds & Blooms Magazine

Read it for the Pleasure!

Birds and Blooms is part of a wonderful family of magazines. I cannot wait for my issue to arrive because I read it over about 4 times. First is the skimming over to glance at the superb photos and read the words of wisdom that can be found on pages edge. Then I read the articles that most catch my eye. Next I go back and read all of the magazine. Then it goes into the "reading room" where I once again pass the time looking at the wonderful photos and noticing details that missed my scrutiny the first time through.
IF you love gardening or birds or know someone who does this is a must have magazine. Another plus is that it is not filled with advertising so the whole magazine is full of information.
I have noticed that when I have guest over and they go to the "reading room" (bathroom) they will often bring this magazine down and ask to borrow it.

Best of Birds & Blooms

Birds & Blooms is a wonderful, beautiful, ad free magazine. There are many beautiful pictures along with 'cute' & 'funny' captions. Wonderful tips on how to attract birds & butterflies are in each issue. Descriptive gardens - especially flower gardens - are also featured. Recipes for herbs are included. It is "your" magazine with pictures, stories, & captions from the common photographer like you & me. I love my magazine & look at the pictures all the way through as soon as my magazine arrives! Later I sit down & enjoy it from cover to cover. The only "bad" thing about Birds & Blooms -- each issue should be two or three times larger!!

Absolutely the BEST!

My mother gave me a subscription to Birds and Blooms last year for my birthday. She thought that now that I owned my own home, I would be interested in the magazine for its information on gardening. After reading the first issue that was sent to me, I was absolutely hooked on it and couldn't wait for the next issue to come.

The articles are well written and informative. Being new to the gardening scene, the articles have helped me many times with questions as to why or how plants grow. The pictures are so vibrant and beautiful. I was never really into the "bird scene", but after looking at all the beautiful pictures that are taken by many of the readers, I now make it a point to keep watch of my bird feeder.

I really enjoy how the readers get so involved with the input of the magazine. Birds and Blooms is not one of those magazines that you have to sit down for a long period of time to get through all the advertisements in order to read an article.

I highly recommend this magazine to anyone who not only wants to enhance their mind, but also stimulate it with all the glorious colors in their pictures.

Birds, Blooms and People

The above title is what this publication should be named. It's wonderful.
I subscribe to it and have for several years. Highly recommend it! It's stories are written by everyday people like the rest of us, who enjoy nature and flowers. The pictures are some of the best! I look forward to this magazine every month, because it just seems to cheer you up, no matter what the weather outside is like. One other plus of this publication is NO adds. It's a pleasant surprise not to have to hunt for the articles somewhere in all the adds. All of the magazines published
by these folks are wonderful and I would highly recommend any of them.
"Taste of Home", "Reminiscence", and others.

Vivid photographs

I found this magazine at a friends house, and immediately subscribed to it! I have not been disappointed. The photos in this magazine are on glossy paper and are suitable for framing!! The articles are informative and interesting. I gave 2 gift subscriptions last year for Christmas, and they were a big hit!! This is a good magazine for people who like Southern Living, but without all the advertising. THERE ARE NO ADS IN THIS MAGAZINE!! There are usually pictures and ideas about birdhouses that never fail to fascinate me. Now when friends come to my house, they usually end up wanting to subscribe to this great magazine!!

Birds & Blooms

I have gotten this magazine as a Christmas gift for the last three years, I just love it. I enjoy it all the year through. Its very informative about taking care of wildlife. It has the cutest stories that people have written and submitted. The pictures are amazing, like how do they get those birds to sit still like that on top of a kids head. I also get a lot of useful gardening tips from it some of them I have even tried. When it first comes in the mail I go through and look at the pictures, then later I actually sit and enjoy the articles. This magazine is in my opinion one of the best on the market.

Great For All!

Like many others, I started Birds and Blooms with a trial offer and immediately fell in love with it! I gave a gift subscription to my NASCAR-loving father and he now loves it! Truly a magazine for people of all ages and interests, from children who just want to look at the wonderful pictures (many of them featuring children) to adults who don't normally consider themselves nature lovers or gardeners to anyone who just enjoys great pictures of people enjoying life in the most simple of ways. Unlike many magazines that are too technical on similar subjects, this one keeps it simple. Not so much of a "how to" magazine as a "look at what these people did". Great photography, short, informative articles.

Love Gardening, birds

A wonderful magazine, i subscribed to it for a while,
Gardening tips, information on birds, is well written in enjoyable to read formats.

I love to garden, and i love the section were people can trade seeds and such with each other, met some nice people that way that are now regular pen pals.

I have traded seeds with people, and i have learned how to identify some of the birds in my area. I enjoy this magazine very much.

birds, flowers and real backyards!

This magazine is exactly what it says it is. Each issue is filled, from cover to cover with vividly colored photographs of birds and blooms, with no advertising to take away from the content. It features real people in real homes across North America and spotlights the birds and flowers that many of us are apt to see in our own backyards, which makes it down to earth and refreshing to read.

There are features on how to attract birds and butterflies to your garden, and the photos are a visual feast for the eyes. In fact, I would recommend it even if you just want to look at the pictures...the photographs alone would make it well worth the cost of the magazine! Unfortunately, this is another one of those magazines that only come out six times a year. Maybe popular demand will influence the publishers to rethink their marketing plans for the future! I hope so.
