Reviews For Taste Of Home Magazine

Makes Mouths Happy

I love this magazine!! It took me from a not-so sure cook to a semi-expert. Before this magazine whenever I said time for dinner my family put their coats on. Now we sit down and enjoy a great home-cooked meal. It has easy to follow directions, menu planning, pot-luck recipes, dietary exchange, you name it. There are also plenty of down home articles to read. I tried other cooking mags like Bon Appetit and Gourmet but they didn't offer recipes my family would enjoy. I really enjoy the articles on getting kids to eat certain foods and recipes for kids to help with. The magazine also offers up advice on new products, homey restaurants and shares feedback from other readers. I also love the sibling mag Quick Cooking. Try this magazine out and I bet you'll never want to offer fast food to your family again!

Yummy for my Tummy!

I LOVE this magazine! I have been subscribing to Taste of Home for three years now. Every issue is jam-packed with tried and true delicious recipes. I try at least two to three recipes from each issue and my family has always given a thumbs-up. There hasn't been a recipe that we haven't loved. I think that's because these are recipes from people's families. Each recipe comes from a "real" household and a "real" family loves it. They have many different categories of foods and each issue has some theme to it, ie picnic food, chicken recipes, etc. These recipes are also fairly easy to prepare so they work well with moms-on-the-go like I am. This magazine gets my highest approval. Try it! You'll love it!

I love this magazine!

I was first introduced to this magazine by my sister. She is the domesticated one of the two of us and she thought I would like this magazine because the recipes were easy. (she knows me too well) Well, I just love this magazine!! The pictures are gorgeous. The recipes are well done and they truly are easy to understand. I also love the articles that go along with some of the recipes, like the ones that talk about where the recipe originated from.

There are contests and prizes all the time. They also have whole party ideas put together for you. I love it when someone can put the whole party or celebration together like that for you. It makes my life so much easier.

They also include the recipes already on cards, all you have to do is cut them out and add them to your recipe file. What a good idea.

Do you want to know my favorite part is about this magazine? ...
There are no adds!! I can't stand picking up a magazine and the table of contents does not even start until page 30.
If you are looking for a good gift for a bride to be or a busy mother, this would be it, she will thank you over and over for it.

LOVE this magazine!

I love Taste of Home Magazine. It's the perfect magazine to get great, tested out recipes. And every edition is filled with new recipes. I have a monthly subscription and am always impressed at how this magazine never fails to offer more and more great, new recipes for its readers. Plus, every edition is themed to go along with the season or time. For instance, in October you will get some great Halloween themed recipes and in November they give you great thanksgiving themed recipes. My absolute favorite section is the one where they give the recipes from the reader's recipe contest - I have found so many keepers from that section. And since they have a bunch in every edition, I have made quite a nice collection! One of the best things about this magazine is that most all the recipes are user-friendly and easy to make. The directions are simply put and clear for the reader. And the finished pictures makes it very easy to have a goal in mind and something to compare to! I love this magazine and at about 20 dollars for a yearly subscription - I know I get the most out of the money I spent!

Wonderful magazine!!

Taste of Home is an absolutely wonderful magazine if you enjoy delicious but simple recipes. I love the ease of looking through the magazine and not having to go through page after page of advertisements!! It is one of the few magazines that I can sit down and read cover to cover in one sitting!! I keep the old issues in my recipe book stand for easy access because the recipes are amazing!! They are the old fashioned kind of recipes that I grew up eating!! I have not tried a recipe from the magazine that my family has not absolutely LOVED. My husband is very picky about what vegetables he will eat but he has not turned down a vegetable dish yet from Taste of Home.

All I can say is Yummm

About 4 years ago some one gave me a copy of Taste of Home and I have been addicted ever since. When it comes I sit down and read it cover to cover the same day.I have given it as a gift and turned many people who love to cook on to this magazine.
The magazine has many different sections. They have a section for cheap meals, a section with theme meals. They have Q&A section where I have learned many things. The whole magazine is peppered with good advice.Al the recipes in the magazine are printed on cards you can cut out and store easily.
Many of my family's favorite meals have come from this magazine including my husbands all time favorite Taco Quiche. I highly recommend this magazine to anyone who cooks you won't be sorry.

I also love this magazine

Hello, I'm Roxbachman's sister who gave her a subscription to Taste of Home as a gift one year. I'm truly more domesticated than she is but she tries very hard. I love to cook and thought this magazine would help her learn to cook better. I was right. This wonderful magazine is unlike other cooking magazines I have seen where the ingredients are near impossible to find in the rural area I live in. Most of the recipes in this magazine have been submitted by actual people who are home cooking for their families. They are simple but delicious and tested in the real world.

I also love that there are no advertisements in this magazine (a trademark of the company that puts it out, along with several other magazines). Every issue is full of great recipes, but it's not too thick to keep every issue with the rest of your cookbooks.

My only complaint is that I have a hard time thumbing through my many issues to find just the right recipe. They do put out an annual cookbook of that years recipes. I find that cookbook much easier to use when searching for the perfect way to prepare the vegetable I have an abundance of from my garden at the time.

Even with my small complaint there, I still recommend this magazine to anyone, even if you aren't much of a cook. If you like this magazine you will also love the magazine Quick Cooking put out by the same company.

Never a Bad Recipe!

I have been subscribing to Taste Of Home magazine for about five years and it's sister magazine Quick Cooking for a year. They are both great but for days you have the time and want to prepare more elaborate meals this is the magazine to reference. The completed meals taste like they were difficult to prepare and that's the wonderful part-they aren't. There are comprehensive step-by-step instructions and beautiful pictures of the finished product. I have not tried a recipe that was not a big hit in my house and believe me I have tried a lot of them. There are also helpful hints packed throughout every issue from new appliances that are available to the best was to store you favorite foods. I plan on continuing my subscription for a long time to come.

What's Cooking?

I thoroughly enjoy sitting down with the next issue of Taste of Home. I usually read it from cover to cover.

Taste of Home is a good quality food magazine for those who are looking for fun and innovative ways to serve new recipes. It also has the down home cooking recipes that every one enjoys.

Colorful layout and photographs make it a truly attractive magazines. The pull out recipe cards are another plus. Just detach and add to your recipe file.

I also appreciate that the cooks are everyday woman just like me. The theme dinner menus always spark new ideas and the recipes are very tasty.

This is a magazine my whol family enjoys.

This is REAL cooking

As far as magazines go, this one is the best. There are amusing stories, wonderful color pictures, and recipes for everyone in the family.

Each issue is jam packed with recipes, divided up into different sections, for everyone and anyone with a particular diet or desire. I have a diabetic father and there are great, tasty recipes that are either low fat or nonfat. Great recipes that you can create with your children. At the moment we are working on the little mint snowmen. (So far they look great and were fun to make)

Pictures for most of the recipes are included also! That makes it alot easier to plan a meal and be able to tell if I am on the right track while I cook. I have little skills dealing cooking, but with these easy recipes and directions, even I can be a chef.

Product reviews, cooking tips, family stories and kitchen layouts are throughout the magazine. It adds a little bit of a human touch. Each time the magazine arrives, it is like getting a letter from a friend.
