Reviews For Family Fun Magazine

Great Value!

I originally ordered this magazine because of the price, very low cost. It is a great value. It is full of wonderful ideas to do with kids. As an educator, I recommend this magazine to parents whenever they ask for ideas of things to do with their children.

There are articles related to child-rearing, crafts to do as a family (with easy to follow directions, too!), and travel articles. Each month books, videos, music and software are reviewed in an easy to read format.

The one drawback to this magazine is it is only published every other month. My family and I are always excited when the latest edition is delivered!

Family Fun Magazine

I have subscribed to this magazine for over 7 years. This is a very good magazine for anyone who has kids or works with kids.I have used many arts and craft ideas at home and at work with children in a day care setting. I save most of the information that I get from their magazine in my files and one time I only had half of the directions I needed for a project. I went to their website and got the rest of the directions that I needed. I was very impressed that they had the information there since it was from an issue from a couple years ago.

Great magazine for family with kids

This has to be the best childrens/family magazine I have ever subscribed to. It is full of wonderful ideas for family activities. One of the things I thought was an awesome idea in one of their recent magazines was to create a memory jar and when something neat happens during the year like the time grandma made a yummy pie and brought it over, had a special day or event, or anything special that happens during the year and then on New Years eve the family can go through the memory jar. This magazine is chucked full of ideas like that. I have quit all my other subscriptions since I had been on the internet except that one. I love it!

Great Resource

I have just recently started to get this magazine. And I absolutely love it. I can't wait to get it in the mail and am eager to read it from cover to cover.

I am a stay at home mom and I am often looking for something creative to do with my 2 children. Family Fun has numerous craft ideas the you can use with a wide range of ages. The magazine includes articles that discuss family vacations spots and historical information. They have great ideas for birthday parties from invitations, party games, and cakes.

They have an area for parents to share how they used what Family Fun offered and for families to add their own success stories. It is amazing how much I get out of this one magazine. I never throw a copy away because I may need the information for something down the road.

It is different from Parents and Child since it is activity focused. The other two magazines I found helpful when my children were infants and toddlers. Now that they are in grade school and preschool I like the focus on activities that we can all do together, that Family Fun offers.

Family Fun

Family Fun is a magazine I have enjoyed for over 6 years. It offers you
a wide variety of subjects relating to families. In each issue you will find the basic crafts and cooking sections that most parent magazines offer, but it also includes a travel section. This section takes you and your family on a 3 day weekend to various parts of the USA and describes the activities, hotels and eateries that region has to offer. The magazine has been more useful to me especially since my children are in Preschool and in 2nd Grade than Parents etc.

A Classroom helper

Family Fun Magazine has been a helping hand in my college education to become a teacher. Family Fun provides crafts, activities, articles and recipes for parents and educators alike. I have used craft ideas during my student teaching in kindergarten and the students have loved the projects we have made.

The recipes provided in this magazine are full of pictures to help adults and children follow the recipes exactly. The recipes are kid friendly and children enjoy sampling them. I have used them with children of all ages.

I have been subscribing to Family Fun Magazine for about four years now and I enjoy every issue. I have giving this Magazine as a Christmas gifts for two years. It makes a wonderful gift for Christmas or any holiday.

In and out of the classroom this magazine is a must have for anyone who has or works with children.

Fun magazine for families with school-age kids

This is a great magazine for families that have outgrown Parents or Parenting magazines. It is filled with vacation ideas, crafts, articles related to life with older kids. It also helps a lot with party ideas and holiday festivities. It has lots of kid-friendly recipes, too, especially for picky toddlers.

This is the one magazine that I turn to for ideas about what to do with the kids, at all times of year. The christmas and halloween issues are particularly good for info on decorating, presents, parties, cookies, etc.

Worth It!

I first discovered Family Fun at their website. I requested a free issue and was hooked. I look forward to each month's issue for the great ideas within.

In December, my 4 children and I used the cinnamon ornament recipe to make Christmas gifts for their teachers and family members. In the February issue, I found a great idea to turn a standard cupcake pan into a "heart" pan simply by using aluminum foil. I can't wait to use the April issues ideas for Easter.

The magazine celebrates special days for each month and is loaded with fun and easy crafts that involve all members of the family. I will definitely renew my subscription to this magazine.

Jam Packed with Information and Activities

I was amazed with my first issue of Family Fun. Even after a year of issues I am still in awe of all the wonderful activities and crafts. The magazine also has a wonderful section about traveling and family trips. There are many places I have never even thought to take a vacation that sound wonderful!

I have subscribed to five different parenting magazines and I feel this is the best one! After reading many of the others I feel that I just wasted my money and an hour of my life. Family Fun is very different. It is packed with information and family fun ideas!
Many of the activities are geared for older children (over 5 or 6). Even though my three children are under four I still file away the wonderful articles to use later.

Many times I share the ideas with friends who run in home daycares. This is the type of magazine that everyone who has or takes care of children will love!!! It is a GREAT Investment!!!!

Family Fun Magazine

As a mother of two boys, ages 9 and 7, I find this magazine full of ideas to keep their creative juices flowing. It is full of recipes that children can make (on their own and with a parent) different crafts that are fun and educational and appeal to a wide age range, book and software reviews, and my favorite, the Reader's pages. It is fun to see how other families use the ideas they have found in the magazine to make or do something that is unique to their own families and situations.

There are other magazines geared toward parents and their children but I find they are mostly for parents of babies or toddlers (i.e., "Parents")
I think "Family Fun" is geared more for the whole family, from parents all the way up to the teenage years.
