With all the lame sports magazines out there, that gives you all these 13-letter terminologies, finally one with ONLY the info that I need. There have been reports that SLAM is a biased magazine. GET OUTTA HERE!!! It's just a magazine that gives you the info plain and simple.

They always have a SLAM of the Month page, which displays the PHATTEST dunk of the month in a series of picture stills. They give you the low down on the newest up and coming stars in the NBA, College ranks, and sometimes even in high school. They take it a step farther. Sometimes, they take it to the playground.

Oh, by the way: it's not censored. The writers print the info exactly the way the interviewees tell it. The editorial section is outstanding and very candid. This mag is for the ultimate basketball junkies.

Slam is definetely the best basketball magazine ever and my personal favorite!
Slam covers all kinds of basketball, such as NBA, WNBA, college, and high school. There are many features of slam that I love.
First of all, I love the shoe section of the magazine which displays all the new shoes that the players endorse, the price of the shoes, and photo, and a recommendation of where to buy the shoes at.
Next, the articles all are very in-depth and are really written with a lot of thought and detail. The photographs of all the players are all very good too. I just subscribed and let me tell you, it was a great investment. I highly recommend this magazine to any basketball fan, because it definitely has more information about the sport than any other basketball magazine that you can find!

Slam is a magazine that tells you information about the player how good he's doing. Also its shows you the all information about the player that you enjoy watching or find more information on. It gives you articles on some of the most fantastic players in the NBA.
It tells you about college players that are doing very good. The Magazine SLAM has a Slam of the month for every issue.It shows in the back of the magazine the new sneakers that are coming out. So that's what I have to say about the magazine SLAM. Straight up who ever likes B-Ball I recommend this magazine to them.

This is the best basketball magazine on the planet. It may be the best sports magazine as well. Slam doesn't just focus on the pros it covers everyone from high school on up. It doesn't even stop with current players, but it goes back and covers all the old school players as well from playground legends, to ABA greats, as well as the NBA legends. The stories are in depth and provide great insight into not only the b-ball players games, but their lives as well. The photography in the magazine is incredible as well. The whole back wall of my room is covered with "slam-ups" as well as other pictures from the magazine. I cannot say enough about this mag. If you have never picked up a copy of Slam, pick one up, you will not regret it.

I was first introduced to this magazine by my little cousin, Jeremy. He is a huge sports fan, so when he told me about this magazine I went to the store and bought an issue. I am sure glad I trusted his judgement. It is a great magazine. It contains articles about current events and issues regarding the NBA. Many of the articles written in "SLAM" are very funny. They mock some players and issues that are in the NBA. One of the best things about, "SLAM", is that it is a big magazine. Unlike other magazines, "SLAM" magazine contains a large amount of pages and many articles for your enjoyment. Another good thing is that the magazine just doesn't state facts and talk about rumors, but they really go in depth and have their own opinions. I would rate "Slam" as one of the best and most comical sports magazines in the entire country. Pick up a copy today!

Slam magazine is a thugged out magazine, and I love it, I love everything from Slam of the month to the interviews.
This magazine has great pictures great articles, great clothes and sneakers in the back, I just hate that it only comes out once a month.
Another thing that I used to like alot before they got rid of it was, they used to have something called sneak of the month, which was the best sneaker of the month but for some reason they dont have that anymore.
But everything else is great from the price to the reading material.
If you are looking for a gift for a teenager than this is the perfect gift. Trust me.

If you want to call yourself a basketball fan then SLAM is a must read. They tell you what you want to know about who you want to hear about. Slam is not really your conventional publication. It is rife with bad words and slang, the reason for this is it helps them get their point across.

+ Hilarious beyond belief. (e.g. they make fun of shawn bradley and other not so great players)

Overall Slam is a great magazine. I cannot think of anything bad about it except that its not published often enough. Sports Illustrated might only have one basketball article an issue, if you want more then Slam is the way to go.

SLAM MAGAZINE IS INFORMATIVE AND THE TOPS IN NEW MILLENIUM SPORTS WRITING. IT APPEALS TO THE YOUNG MALE TEEN GENRE'. AS A HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL COACH IT HAS PEAKED THE CURIOSITY OF MY PLAYERS AND THEY CAN'T SEEM TO EVER PUT IT DOWN.THIS HAS ALLOWED ME TO ENCOURAGE THE PLAYERS TO CONTINUE TO EXPAND THEIR KNOWLEDGE OF THE GAME. THE GENERATION X'ERS SURELY WILL LOVE THIS MAGAZINE. HOWEVER THE TRADITIONAL BASKETBALL MINDS WILL PROBABLY THINK THAT IT GLORIFIES INDIVIDUALITY IN A SPORT THAT WAS BUILT AROUND THE TEAM CONCEPT. THIS MAKES A GREAT CHRISTMAS GIFT FOR PLAYERS AT JUST 5.95 A YEAR. This can be ordered at discount magazines on the internet.

Slam Magazine is a great informative magazine on present Day Basketball The Pictures are really great.You can learn about all your favorite teams and players.You can also see how all the teams are doing and what's happening in the NBA.I Buy this magazine all the time and I highly recommend you go out and buy it.It's not one of those magazines where the whole thing is ads I just hate that.They really take time writing the articles. And they focus on one topic they don't go drift off on to a different subject every paragraph.So next time your at the store you have to pick up Slam Magazine.
