Reviews For Entrepreneur Magazine

Excellent source to keep up to date

I recently picked up my first copy of Entrepeneur Magazine. I was glad that I did! Not only does this magazine hit one of the most interesting topics in the business world, it covers practically everything that goes underneath it. What I'm trying to say is that this mag has info in a entertaining format. I don't even have my own business, although I am helping manage a brand new one, and I found lots of info that I can use. They give good advice like in the November issue. They have a picture of a millionair on the cover. The editor asks, "do you hate the guy on the front cover?". Then gives some good advice by saying, "instead of hating them, be happy for them. Be inspired by them. Learn from them." Great stuff for anyone to listen to. There is articles on franchises, e-commerce, just about every aspect of small and big business. Lots of great advice, opportunities to look into and the latest in technology and trends. Even if you have only mabye thought of getting into business this is worth picking up. Heck, even if you don't think about it pick it up! Its just plain good reading!

Excellent magazine for those who want to start a first business

I have read this magazine on and off for a several years and wanted to add my 2 cents. Yes, the magazine does have many ads for business opportunities. But this is exactly something I want to read and evaluate, the marketplace of business opportunities. Many of these are franchise opportunities, which is exactly where the first time entrepreneur should start. The articles are generally well written and many will obviously be useful, but not all. The value of each article often depends on where you are in the business creation process. It was not until I read the E-Myth Revisited that I understood the value of these franchises. This magazine slices and dices the franchises by many metrics to help you find one where you are most likely to both succeed and be happy. The magazine is easily worth more than the price to any person seriously starting or building a small enterprise. Hope this has been helpful to the entrepreneurs out there.

Are you a business man ?

Try this out. Good for folks that are in business. I like to read it just to get some idea on how other do their business. It is for folks who lie light reading. Totally recomended for everyone who is interest in business in general.

Every Entrepreneur Should Read It

Over the years, I have browsed this magazine and even utilized it for a business research paper I did in college. Recently, though, I decided to subscribe because I thought it would be very useful in my business. Admittedly, I had only really browsed the magazine until now as I felt to get my money's worth, I'd better read it thoroughly.

I'm very glad I decided to do this just the other night. I found the articles to be well-written and very informative. One in particular, on Bill Gates, was motivating and inspiring. Gates fascinates me due to his success and yet he seems pretty down-to-earth as well. I enjoyed reading about the way he runs his corporation and how he's helped numerous people become wealthy through hard work and support.

The magazine offered articles on new hardware and/or software which I also found extremely helpful as I am contemplating updating most of my computer equipment. It was great to find out prices, options, etc. Operating a small business and focusing more in building that business, I was somewhat overwhelmed by all the advertisements offering different business opportunities.

Perhaps if you have a lot of money to invest and want to do some fun things or even very serious investment on a large scale [such as a Blimpies or something], then the offers are countless for those of you out there that are interested in start-up businesses or just adding to your enterprises. They had everything from vending machines, to dry cleaners, to candy machines, too numerous to mention business opportunities.

I'm glad that I've subscribed and have determined to read everything I possibly can in order to stay business literate. It's a very helpful publication and there are some fun things that I learned such as what's happening in the current business market, the availability of all sorts of computer hardware and software, articles on small and large business owners [their success stories, etc.] and the overall layout of the magazine is pleasant to look at & read.

Tons of information... usually great advice

Entrepreneur is (usually) a great magazine. Lots of columns dealing with small business concerns, great articles, lots of helpful tips, etc.

I have found tons of great books and resources through Entrepreneur that has really helped me do business.

But like many magazines, it does have it's moments...

Entrepreneur tries to be everything to all people. Because of this, it has turned into a hefty magazine full of articles and information. It also sometimes doesn't dole out the best advice. I have often seen articles run about my industry that are either inaccurate or not quite "with the times".

Also, Entrepreneur tackles two diverse areas of business ownership - business owners (like myself) and franchise owners. Occasionally, there's a relevant article for both parties, but in most cases, the article is really only good for one group or another.

Entrepreneur boasts a huge classified section. If you're looking for business ideas, this is an excellent resource. But if you aren't, it's quite a bit of wasted space.

The editors of Entrepreneur have worked created spin off magazines to deal with some of the issues, but they really haven't cleared out Entrepreneur. While I strongly recommend this magazine to all business owners, I caution them that it may take some time to wade through every month.

Informative

I pick up this magazine about 4 times a year off the news stand because they simply do an excellent job of catering to their market....the Entrepreneur. The articles are well written and deal with subjects that business owners actually can USE. If you bought this magazine and applied some of the knowledge in it to your business it would pay for a lifetime subscription. One idea or a new way at looking at a problem (opportunity) is priceless.

Good Starting Place

I have been reading this magazine since it was first published. It is a good starting point for anyone looking for a business to start. It covers some very interesting topics and the most interesting articles were on inventions to me reflecting my own personal interests. However,it seems all the business ventures featured give the idea that you will have success. This is just a starting point, to look into business ideas. It has great tips for existing businesses also.I think this magazine enjoys an unique niche of its own , I cant compare it to others, but I have read Income Opportunities which is good and approaches the market a little differently. Both magazines have great classifieds to read.

Entrepreneur---Good Magizine

I find Entrepreneur to be very informative and up to date with business related information. Some of there computer related articles maybe just a bit off of cutting edge but they are none the less still very informative. I like the sections where you can easily find a new franchise and info on it. These are presented on a regular basis. They also have a good classifies section in the back of each issue. The articles are always fresh and focus a good bit on the small business person.

Better than in the past, a surprisingly good read

I recently picked up Entrepreneur magazine for the first time in years. I'd considered it a fluff magazine before, but this new issue (March 2009)is great! I think I'll buy a subscription in the hopes that all of their issues are just as good now. I rip out pages that I want to look at again later and with this issue, I find myself ripping out a lot of pages.

I've owned two business for 8 years and I've been an avid reader of business magazines. I'm always looking for new ones and this one might just make it into my pile!

good for ideas and inspiration

This is a great magazine to learn about what other people are doing with their businesses. Not only that, I find it very inspirational.

This isn't something that is going to take you from a 9-to-5 to running your own business, but it will definitely help you if you're already there.
