Fun, irreverent, informative magazine for guys and gals alike
I've been a female Maxim subsriber since I discovered it at my boyfriend's house 5 years ago. This magazine is far superior to the recycled, pandering crap offered in women's magazines like Cosmopolitian. In Maxim, there are of course the requisite (and good) sex tips, but you also get excellent jokes, taste testing and product comparisons, thrilling and exhaustive true crime features, war and international stories, collected weird stories from around the world, and important "how-to's" on subjects like scamming free cable, getting comped in casinos, playing poker, and impressing your friends in other ways.
As a skin rag, Maxim does a decent job of presenting women in sexy but tasteful photographs. It's been fun to see TV stars like Laura Prepon looking stunning and nothing like their TV characters on the pages of Maxim magazine. I swear I read it for the articles, though!
Comedy and sexual pictures, could we ask for more?
It always seems like when you puchase a magazine you end up with either trashy articles, or pictures that get old fast.
Finally there is. The pages are full of wit, the images are tantalizing, and the format easily flows from page to page. Maxim covers topics all guys wonder about but never have had the nerve to ask. Besides the great laughs and wonderful pictures, there is always at least one serious section in the magazine. This is well-researched and clearly explained, and unlike the other magazines, it fits.
An all around great magazine!
Funny, Blunt, and UN-PC
I find this magazine very funny. Many many think it's just "Man Show" teenage stuff but actually its very well written. The best part is the UN-PCness of the articles with some very sharp humour. Worth the price as you will gaggle with laughter every month. There is far too much political correctness these days and this magazine celebrates the notion of "viva la differance"
BEST MENS MAGAZINE
This has got to be the best mens magazine I subscribe to. It is very imformitave, and keeps you up to date on a variety of things. Their pictorials are great, the women are stunning, and that's about as close to them as most of us would ever get. The stories and articles are very enjoyable, there is always something intresting to read, and the magazine is filled with facts. The content of this magazine is also outstanding, it's huge. You can also check out thier website before ordering, which can also give you a glimpse of the magazine (...) I also believe that they own or are partners with STUFF, which is basically the same magazine.

If you are not familiar with it, buy it at a store or read a friend's copy. Basically if you like creative writing that makes you laugh and you are a guy, this is an excellent magazine. If you are easily offended, skip it.
How can anyone say anything bad?
Hmmm, reviewing Maxim. Well lets see, the price was great. I got my issues quickly. I really can't say anything negative about this. Maxim has stories, jokes, fashion tips for guy, and ofcourse beautiful women in lingerie. This is the 'Cosmopolitan magazine' for guys.

Look man, this is not National Geographic. It's shallow, loaded with pictures of hotties, lots of references to sex, and jokes your 13 year old brother would tell you. I really can't remember anything else about it. But for [...] a year delivered what more could you ask for? It will go great in the bathroom magazine rack.
